New Additions
Curtis's cousin Shay just had to twin boys, Shay named them Tai'sean Tonylee Ricks, and Tav'ion Deontaye-Jerome Ricks. They just turned 1 month around the same time that Alexia turned 1 years old, so Shay and her husband Deontaye decided to get their family pictures taken and they wanted Alexia to be in a picture with the boys. So here the pics!
One Year Later
Ok, so now you know all about our past and how we became the family that we are. So currently Alexia just turned 1 years old this last week on March 3rd. She now has 2 teeth on the bottom and 2 teeth on the top are coming in! She's so big now! We took her to McDonald's for the first time this week, and we sat in the playroom. We bought her a kid's meal and for the first time she drank from a straw! We couldn't believe it! We've given her french fries before so she knew all about that, but she was so excited to have a cheeseburger and icecream. She also loved seeing the other kids run around and play. So we thought we would let her crawl around in the little tunnels but she was kinda scared so I got in there with her for a few minutes and she didn't really wanna crawl around but she liked seeing all the other kids go through the tunnels around us. So she had a really good time.

Honeymooners
Inside the Venetian hotel it's set up just like "Little Italy" with shops and little Italian restaurants everywhere. It even had the river running through the hotel! So we ate a little Italian place by the river then we took a Gondola ride through the hotel, it even went outside and around the hotel and came back in. The next day we spent all day on the strip. Even though we don't gamble and I wasn't 21 yet, there were still lots of things to do in Vegas. Each hotel has a theme. NewYork NewYork even had a rollercoaster that we went on. So here are some pictures of our honeymoon on the strip.

The Big Moment
So Curtis and I were so nervous. When I walked down that aisle, nothing mattered but Curtis. I was all smiles and his breath was taken away, I could see it in his eyes. We went through the cerimony quite quickly but it seemed to take an eterinity! After we said our vows, we were both teary eyed, curtis more than me, it was time for the kiss. I've kissed Curtis a thousand times before this, but for some reason I was so nervous, but so eager to seal our vows with this kiss. I could tell Curtis felt the same way because he hesitated just as I did. Not because we didn't want to kiss, and not because we thought oh my god we're gonna be married now and maybe this is a mistake, no it was more that we didn't want the kiss to wrong, but that we wanted it to be perfect and express how we felt toward each other perfectly. AND BOY WAS IT PERFECT!
Here are some pics of that perfect moment.

Vegas Baby
We went to Las Vegas for the weekend not nessesarily planning to get married THAT weekend. We went there to find a place to get married and get our marriage liscence and then we would go back to Las Vegas when we were ready. Well, Curtis had his own agenda! Since I already had bought my dress and he already had his suit, he packed these items in a seperate suitcase without my knowing it. This was easy for him to do since we ended up having to take seperate flights because he worked for any airline so he could fly free on the airline he worked for and any airline that had a contract with his employer. Since we weren't married yet I could not fly free yet, so we flew on 2 different airlines and he got there first. After we got to Las Vegas, we did some sight seeing. We had a great time! The next day we went and got our marriage liscense. We then did some more sightseeing, and then started looking for a place to get married. Well, we both have a love for Italy! So we found a little place inside the Venetian hotel, which the entire theme is Italy! We absolutly loved it! So we get all the info about how much it would cost to get married, get our pictures taken, and get a limo. We still thought we would look around at some other places even though we loved this one. So we looked around but still wanted that first one. We go back to the hotel to freshen up and get ready to go out to dinner. While I'm getting ready Curtis says he's going to go down to the front desk and get some info on some good restaurants. (Now here's the good part!) When I get out of the shower my WEDDING DRESS IS LAID OUT ON THE BED! With all my jewelry and everything!(HOW ROMANTIC!)My breath was taken away! Curtis was already in his suit ready to go and says "How bout we get married today?!!", "OF COURSE, YES!" I said. He told me I only had 20 min to get ready for the chapel to fit us in and have time to take pics! 20 min is so not enough time to get ready to get MARRIED, but I tried and of course I was running like an hour late, so Curtis had to call the wedding chapel and tell them we were running late, they said it was ok but to hurry. So while I'm still getting ready I realize that the only thing I don't have is a bouqet and I always wanted real flowers, so (ladies you're not going to believe this) my husband had the van driver of the hotel take him to the closest grocery store that sold fresh flowers and Curtis made me a bouqet!AND IT WAS GORGEOUS! Now, since we came to Vegas not expecting to get married we didn't have enough money to get a limo and still have money for dinner, or so I thought. I thought we were waiting for a cab to come pick us up. (Before I say what I'm about to, please note that I'm kinda a bubblehead.) So we're outside the front of the hotel and there is a limo driver holding a sign that says Daniels. I don't even think that it's for us. I actually made a comment to Curtis that I wish we could take that limo and what a coincidence that it's the same last name as his. So Curtis says that I should ask the limo driver the first name of the people that he's waiting for, just to be polite and make conversation. So I did, and the limo driver said he was waiting for the party of Curtis Daniels, and I laughed even more that what a huge coincidence this was. And as soon as I was saying those words out loud I realized the limo was for us and I almost cried!! So we take the limo to the Venetian and get our pics taken then we have the cerimony! Here we are waiting to start the cerimony!
Love Day

Today is a day that everyone thinks about love, including me. You've had a chance to learn everything about our little girl, Alexia. Now I'd like to take a moment to tell you about my husband and I. We were very young when we met, I was 16 and Curtis was 20. Of course our parents didn't approve of us having a relationship and thought we should have waited. But Curtis and I were so in love and didn't want to wait, so we got married 1 month after I turned 18. It was January 16th, 2004. I'll never forget it.

New Pics!
We decided to get our family pictures taken before Alexia got too big. We had already got prfessional pictures taken of Alexia when she was 6 months, but we still hadn't got family pictures taken professionally. So now that she was 10 months old we went to Target to get pictures taken. And they did a wonderful job! Here are some of the pictures that we really liked.
